So today is our 2 year anniversary! So much has happened in the 2 years we've been married..And I wouldn't change any of it for the world! We've been through our ups and downs and have only grown stronger. We are still happily married and our love for each other has grown sooo much more!!! I still LOVE being married and I'm pretty sure he still loves it too. At least I hope he does since I make him dinner, do his laundry, clean up after him, etc, etc, etc.... =) Nah, that's what makes it fun. Being able to make your best friend happy is really all that matters. And I am so glad I have all eternity with him. He is the LOVE of my LIFE and I am so glad I married him. =)
We celebrated our anniversary on Saturday since he wasn't able to get work off today, plus my friend Christina came up here to babysit Brynn for us this weekend. Thank you again Tina! But we went out to dinner at this place called Madeline's Steakhouse & Grill. You see, last year we went to Park City and ate at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and holy mama that was the best steak I've ever had! It was cooked in an 1800' oven! IT WAS DELICIOUS! So I guess this Madeline's place was ranked the 2nd most romantic restaurant in Salt Lake County along with the 2nd best steak too and so we went and ate there. And we both had the fillet mignon steak and it was sooooo similar to the steak we had at Ruth's Chris. It was sooo good!!! We ate wayyy too much! But it was worth it! Then afterwards, Ben said he thought he should take me to the place where it all began, so I of course was thinkin our work place, Convergys, and I was like what? seriously? oh please no, I don't ever want to go back there! haha We both did not like that place at all. But come to find out we were driving for a while and he took me back to the Great Salt Lake where we watched the sun set and he asked me to be his girlfriend almost 3 years ago. It was so romantic. Oh! and I almost forgot! We stopped by The Cheesecake Factory for some dessert first then got it to go and drove out to the Great Salt Lake..So while we watched the sun set we had some delicious Linda's Fudge Cake(which is my favorite dessert ever!) We had so much fun!!
Then to top it all off we totally missed an exit on the way back and it took us SO LONG to get home. Haha but it was so relaxing in a way that I didn't care if we got lost because I didn't want the night to end. =( But, now having a baby waiting for us at home, having been gone for 6 hours and me nursing her, it was definitely time to come home. But what's also nice is that she takes a bottle too so my friend was able to feed her while we were gone, that's why we weren't too worried, it was just me who needed to get home cuz I couldn't go any longer with out feeding her. If all you nursing mothers out there know what I mean. =) hahaha But overall, we had an amazing night and I wish we could spend that time together every day, but Life has its ways with so much going on, which is ok, but when we do get that time together, I cherish every moment I have with him. =)
I LOVE YOU BEN!
Here is the sunset from this year.
And here is the sunset from almost 3 years ago in April 2008 when he asked me to be his girlfriend.
