Well, the first time dreaded doctor's appt is over. Now, I just have 3 more appt's and delivery to look forward too. =) But, it's all good. I just have to think that I'm not the only girl in the world that these doctor's have seen "down there". So, I'm sure I'll be fine now. But anyways, onto the results...
Good news first- cervix is thinning out and softening.
Semi good news- "Almost" dilated to a.........1 grrrrrrr
At least it's starting right? lol Of course I was just hoping to hear like a 2, almost a 3 or somethin! But, this baby will come when she's ready. All I pray is for her to be healthy and if that's going to be a couple more weeks then that's fine by me. =) Let's just hope it will ONLY be a couple weeks. Going all the way to the end just seems SO FAR AWAY!
Blood pressure is going up for some odd reason, but I'm not too high yet so it's not a concern as of now. It's always been between 110 and 120 but this time it was 134. Not a huge difference, but they check ya every week anyways. So we're good.
And last, I asked the doctor if it's normal for your heart to race while having a contraction. He said it's not that normal and if it gets worse to the point where I feel like I can't breathe right or it doesn't slow down then he will look into it. But, for now, he thinks it's just because the body is pumping 40% more blood to every where else and the baby and that my heart needs more blood flow as well, and especially during a contraction, your body just does some weird things! lol So I'm sure it will be fine. =)
I am truly grateful to have had an easy pregnancy. So I definitely should not be complaining at all.
*Never got sick
*Haven't gained a whole lot
*Didn't swell until 32 wks-it only happened when I got sunburned in St George thanks to it draining all the water out of me which I've been trying to be so good about!
*No bed rest
*Baby has been healthy all along
*Cravings never really were a "must have"
So many things I should just be grateful for. Now let's just pray for an easy delivery. lol
